How do We Work to Get You on a Panel?

How does our organization work to get you and your associates onto a provider panel? Remember, getting you into a PPO may be much easier that getting you into an HMO. Nevada has only 8 HMOs, and these organizations have a limited number of lives, considering exclusive IPA, PHO, and EP (exclusive provider) agreements. PPOs, however, exist to serve and satisfy a self-insured employer, and the very fact that an employer may prefer your services, or those of your clinic or organization, may be your key into the PPO. In other words, sell the employer on your organization, and he will tell the PPO to add you to their provider panel. Remember: always avoid a PPO whose contract manager will offer to enroll you if you hire him to get you on other panelsl It pays to have a relationship with an organization such as ours, because we know immediately when a new PPO or HMO arrives on the managed care scene, ready to build a new provider panel for a particular employer, or expand an out-of-state PPO Into a local provider panel.
