Shaun Tulles, CEO
Mr. Tulles has been in the health care field since 1977 and has an extensive background in health care consulting, financial management and administration, physician practice management (51 start-ups), IPA formation and management (34 IPAs), and physician, group and IPA marketing. Each year he develops over $20 million in joint-venture funding between medical entities. Significant accomplishments include the negotiation and contracting of some of Nevada's largest capitation and fee-for-service contracts (optometry, $2.5 million; dermatology, $5 million; cardiology, $5 million; ob-gyn, $3 million; chiropractic, $2.5 million). Formerly a CFO with Del Webb Corporation (1970-77), he joined Lake Mead Medical Center Hospital in 1977 as Administrator and CFO of Huntington's Health (AMEX) Nevada operations. During his tenure as a consultant with University Medical Center he implemented the development of five Quick Care centers, 31 medical practices, 3 primary care CPAs, 2 diagnostic imaging centers, the financial turnaround of Community Health Services Clinic, the UMC Trauma Building and the re-accreditation of UMC's Kidney transplant Department. He has an MBA in Business Administration and Finance and double undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Finance. He was a financial columnist for many years for the Review Journal, Las Vegas Times, Economics Review Healthcare Journal Press and many other local papers and national magazines and the author of a syndicated column for The Senior Times. Since 1970, Mr. Tulles has written and published over 500 articles covering many health, business and financial subjects. He has written thirty books dealing with health care and financial subjects.
He is editor and publisher of The Managed Care Journal The Brokering and Valuation Journal and The Medical Credentialing Journal.
